Resolution Updates

Thought I would blog a little on how I’m doing with my resolutions. In the beginning of 2012, during January and February, I wasn’t really keeping up with all of them. This month though I am really working harder on changing my lifestyle and bettering myself. My number one goal is still my number one goal, and I am trying really hard as well as working my butt off to keep trying to lose weight. I started exercising every day. I’m excited because we actually devoted a room in my house for exercising. Our treadmill is in there, my weights, yoga mat, as well as extra room for a new piece of equipment which I hope to get soon. So that has been really great for me, I no longer have an excuse not to exercise since every thing I need is in the room right next to me. But, I should never of had an excuse not to exercise, just “moving around” is exercise. You don’t need equipment. Anyways, with that said, I probably won’t be using my gym membership. I know I wasted some money, but I might consider going if I feel more confident again to workout around other people. It ends in April, so I’m not sure if I will get there yet.

Since my dieting has begun again, I started eating healthier, I guess you could say. I am eating significantly different, trying to stay away from pop, fast food, and junk food. Which is all I used to eat, so it is hard for me. Some other resolutions I have been persistent on keeping is working on my websites. I’m motivated again to work on them and I have been working a lot on updating them instead of letting them sit. I plan to update them all regularly, and I also have plans for more websites in the future. As for other personal resolutions, I am studying a lot more for school to try and get all A’s, but I’m not sure if I will accomplish that. I’m turning out to be an “average” student in my classes (which are fairly large might I add), so I’m okay with that.

I haven’t spent much money at all, except for this last Wednesday, I caved and bought a tanning package for 3 months. I figured, since I am trying to lose weight and eat healthier, I want to look better. I hate being pale, I always have. And I know how bad tanning is for you, but I love being tan. It’s a win-lose for me. I haven’t bought any makeup or hygiene products recently either (no big purchases), I stopped collecting makeup awhile ago. I have way too much already, don’t need anymore! I’m definitely NOT cutting my hair. I have such low self-esteem right now, not only my weight and being super pale, but also because my hair is short. I used to have such long hair. It got shorter and shorter though through split ends from dying it so much. I decided to cut it with an A-Line style cut, and I absolutely hate it. I wish it would grow overnight.

As for YouTube, I have plans to make videos, but I haven’t gotten the hang of it yet. I really suck (in my opinion) at conveying any type of message through a video. I don’t like the way any videos I make turn out, so I end up deleting them. But I am not going to quit, I will try again soon. I haven’t started doing any of my favorite crafts yet, but it is on my to do list and I will be starting very soon. I can’t wait to blog about them and share them! I have started using my Canon more, and I have a huge load of pictures to edit and add to Flickr, that is on my to do list as well. Since I have become more occupied on doing things I actually need to do, I have significantly reduced doing things such as watching Netflix and procrastinating all of the time on websites I shouldn’t be on (Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube).

I think I am off to a good start, hopefully I keep at it. All of these changes have made me a happier person. Except when I look at this in the long run and think about how much work it’s going to take. I need to start thinking about today, and stop planning so much into the future. It’s my personality to plan though, so I don’t think that will change.

Wishlist

Instead of having this as a page to my blog, I decided to move it to a post. Since the beginning of 2012, I have really been trying to save money. So honestly, I don’t even really intend to buy any of these things. I guess I still want them, but I won’t be purchasing them any time soon! I crossed out Uggs and the Canon Rebel T3i, because I GOT THEM ALREADY! YAYA! :)

  • Ugg Boots
  • iPhone 4s/iPhone 5 (if it comes out!)
  • Canon Rebel T3i or some other better camera, can’t decide…
  • Amazon Kindle
  • Jeffrey Campbell Shoes
  • Just Dance 3 (Wii)
  • North Face Fleece
  • Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Speedy 30

New Year’s Resolutions!

I have never really seriously planned any resolutions before in my life so I thought I’d finally do it at 20 years old. Years before that I never planned resolutions because I either didn’t think of any or I knew I wouldn’t follow through with it anyway. But in 2012 I’m really going to try and do better things, mostly for myself. So here is my long list. I’m making it long because if I happen to not accomplish them all, at least a few might be able to be accomplished and it won’t look so bad.

  • My number one goal is to lose weight and maintain a weight for myself that I like as to be confident
  • Start using my gym membership I paid $80 for and only used one time since
  • Continue eating healthier and learn to make things I like in a healthier way
  • Look for a real job
  • Make good grades my first year of going to a University instead of Community College
  • Don’t spend any money! Save save save
  • Use up all of my beauty/hygiene products without buying more!
  • Never cut my hair, never use heat
  • Finish everything I start
  • Work more on my websites & blog more
  • Create a resume & portfolio for myself
  • Help market my dad’s company more actively
  • Start YouTube channel(s)
  • Quit procrastinating… be more productive
  • Organize my house’s kitchen & bathroom
  • Start crafting more & sell things online
  • Learn how to use my new Canon Rebel T3i better/take more photos
  • Take a trip to Michigan in the summer
  • Be happy, laugh a lot, (try) enjoy being alive

I think that about sums it up, I could probably add more but I’m really clueless because I think I added quite enough already. I would be glad just to even follow through with 5 of these!
